Layered Double Hydroxide/Nanocarbon Composites as Heterogeneous Catalysts: A Review

چکیده

The synthesis and applications of composites based on layered double hydroxides (LDHs) nanocarbons have recently seen great development. On the one hand, LDHs are versatile 2D compounds that present a plethora applications, from medicine to energy conversion, environmental remediation, heterogeneous catalysis. other, unique physical chemical properties owing their low-dimensional structure sp2 hybridization carbon atoms, which endows them with excellent charge carrier mobility, outstanding mechanical strength, high thermal conductivity. Many reviews described LDH/nanocarbon in areas photo- electro-catalysis, but there is still scarce literature latest as catalysts object this review. First, different types materials involved building blocks summarized. Then, methods described, emphasizing parameters allowing be controlled. This highlights adaptability easier implementation. Afterwards, application LDH/carbon for C–C bond formation, higher alcohol (HAS), oxidation, hydrogenation reactions reported discussed depth.

Bioinspired layered composites based on flattened double-walled carbon nanotubes.

Inspired by the layered hierarchical nano- and microstructures of natural nacre, flattened double-walled carbon nanotube (FDWCNT) reinforced epoxy composites are fabricated. Impressively, the prepared composites exhibit layered structures analogous to nacre, and the FDWCNT loading can reach 70 wt%, which results in superior mechanical properties that evidently outperform other existing materials.
